Ultimate Guide to Bedroom Decorating and Design
1 Sleigh Bed, 3 Ways
At a local unfinished furniture store, we found a well-made sleigh bed just begging for a makeover.
Adventurous and Sporty How-To
Press each map firmly onto the primed bed, and use either your hands or a sponge brush to smooth out bubbles and wrinkles. We recommend overlapping the maps for a collage effect.
Spread some of the extra glue mixture over the edges and smaller grooves of the bed to ensure that pieces adhere. If the bed looks like it's covered with a white film, don't worry -- it'll dry clear.
Let your decoupaged bed dry for a full day before inserting the box springs and mattress. We don't recommend sealing with shellac or polyurethane; both can yellow over time.
