The designers turned the wall behind this bed into a giant headboard: the head recesses into a central niche--complete with built-in reading lamps--flanked by smaller niches containing display shelves. Painted a vivid yellow that is echoed in the striped bedspread, the wall contrasts with adjacent white surfaces to magnify the room's sunlit quality. The bed sits on a platform containing storage drawers.
