A hand-carved blue door and bright orange-red cushions form a colorful backdrop for a poolside retreat at this Southern California home. Blue accent pillows, a freestanding wooden cross and red geraniums and bougainvillea also provide a vibrant counterpoint to the pool. As the owner says, “The bright colors remind me of old Mexico.”
