Secret Garden
Ray Kachatorian
Lanterns of all sizes and shapes suspend from the branches of an Italian plum tree. Sharva hung them for daughter Erin’s backyard wedding. “They created a romantic setting for the evening,” she recalls. A circular seat surrounding a plum tree originally appeared in Seattle Children’s Theatre’s whimsical production of Frog and Toad. “Some of our very favorite things have come from theater,” Sharva says. “We love things with a certain patina to them. They have to be old, or at least look old to us.”

Year-round Garden Room
This garden room is a Northwest take on the lanai. It's open on two sided and provides flexible options for outdoor living. The architect conceived it as a summer deck that would "float" in a sea of salal, but it was transformed into an all-season outdoor room when he and the owners decided to add a roof, a fireplace, and walls that slide closed in stormy weather. - Integrated Cabinets
