Richly Colored Wreath
Photo: James Carrier; Stylist: Philippine Scali; Designer:
Transform a plain evergreen wreath into a seasonal star by adding the rich browns of hazelnuts and magnolia leaves. A glue gun is the only tool you'll need. Use a 24-inch conifer wreath as the base. Then add hot glue to ends of the magnolia leaves and clusters of hazelnuts, and tuck them in between fir branches.

Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
