Let It Snow

This quirky wreath is a new play on the traditional red ribbon. Wool-felt ribbon with wired edges holds its shape to spell any number of holiday greetings. Three large chrysanthemums, covered with a bit of shimmer from iridescent flitter, give the look of snowflakes. When adding flowers to wreath, push each stem into a water pick and insert them into the wreath. Cluster three in one spot for a big drift of color, or spread them out around the ribbon decorations. Add water to the picks every few days and the flowers should last about 10 days.

Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
