A Nursery to Grow On
You may never meet a real princess, but this nursery is fit for one. Because window treatment costs can add up quickly, this homeowner decided on inexpensive sheer panels. Inspired by the pink floral artwork above the bed, she painted the ceiling a fresh watermelon hue. It pulls the room together and makes the ceiling appear taller by drawing the eye up. Buttery yellow-and-white frames accent pages taken from antique storybooks.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
