J. Savage Gibson
The original heart-pine flooring in the living room was preserved and the horizontal siding on the walls was coated with 10
layers of pickling stain to lighten up the space. The windows have shutters, rather than curtains, for a casual, comfortable
look. The ceiling in the living area was opened up to create a sleeping loft. Instead of taking up square footage with a bulky
staircase, the loft is accessed via a simple ladder.
