Two-Story Living
Daylight pours in this two-story living room through tall windows and a dormer in the sloped ceiling. A staircase leads to
the second floor with a master suite. To unify old and new, the owners designed architectural details based on elements in
the original house. They fashioned trim around doors and windows and added some board-and-batten wainscoting from Douglas
fir in a warm, reddish tone that cozies up the living room. » see room

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
