Most floor coverings are multifunctional, serving to designate a specific space or grouping, infuse personality with color and pattern, and bring warmth and cushion to hard-surfaced floors. Often, a rug can be the impetus for the color scheme and overall design of a room. They can also be used to cover floor damage.
