Lime wash, a traditional exterior paint finish, gives buildings a soft, weathered patina of subtle streaks and color variations. Now you can bring the rustic lime-wash look indoors with a paint that gives a mottled appearance almost instantly. Called Interno Limewash, the paint "blooms" into a subtle layering of shades as it dries. To achieve the mottled look, seal the wall with a lime-proofing undercoat, then brush on two coats of the paint using strokes of random lengths and angles. The second coat will react with the first to create the color variation.
