Displaying a Family Collection
Interior designer Greg Mewbourne styled these African sculptures, chairs, tables, and other accent pieces in little vignettes that present a cultural cross section of that diverse continent. The exceptional wood carvings and intricate beadwork hint at timeless stories. Their vibrant colors and textures complement the other vintage furnishings. That unconventional mix of elements and cultural palettes gives the rooms interest and flair.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
