Faced with a series of long windows, decorators Emily McDaniel and Lisa Bright created the illusion of one continuous bay window by hanging inoperable panels between each set of windows. Instead of using rods, they had hooks custom-made and attached them to the molding. Curtains should be full, even if they aren't operable. Length depends on personal preference and the amount of traffic in the room. Floor length is good for high-traffic rooms. These decorators usually opt for a drag, which is about four inches longer than the floor length.
