Before buying a display shelf, think about how you want to use it. A cube arrangement works for miniature picture frames and small, rounded objects, such as teapots and vases. Tall items look best on floating shelves. Here, Michele Adams divided shelves into a series of squares, creating a "frame" for each grouping to make even small collections work as a more cohesive unit. She stacked books both vertically and horizontally and paired different objects of the same color together.
