Pool - Lap of Luxury
Photo: Richard Felber; Designer: Sanchez and Maddux
Above a 60-foot-long, tile edged pool, a pergola with coquina stone columns creates shelter, and is carpeted in a tropical vine. Between pool and house, a turf checkerboard of coquina stone and zoysia cashmere grass makes a stylized footpath.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
