The first impression presented by this kitchen is one of light, color, and simplicity. Because the original house was built in the Arts and Crafts style, the couple strove for the same look in their addition. The casings, when combined with honey-stained wood cabinets, wood floors, and a complementary tile backsplash, create a serene backdrop for the homeowner's collection of Fiesta ware.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
