Entertaining Spaces

The kitchen sits in the center of the house and encourages traffic from both ends -- a plus for entertaining. The owners remodeled it with stainless-steel appliances, marble countertops, and an island. Once a cramped galley, it now opens on one side to a breakfast nook, which was formerly a guest bedroom, and on the other to a foyer connecting the living and family rooms.
