Newberry Park Idea House: Playroom Bath
Photo: Jean Allsopp; Stylist: Rose Nguyen
In this bath next to a playroom, a flower-patterned wallpaper and border give this small space a sense of fun. The vibrant paisley shower curtain and a window valance match the playroom's sofa. A closer look at the space reveals the impact of unique tile accents. Laid within a cream ceramic field, mosaic bands of iridescent green glass crisscross the floor. These inserts highlight the tub surround as well, which is made up of beveled ceramic subway tiles.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
