Celebrate nature's beauty with a wreath of pinecones on an 18-inch twig base. Wrap a 9-inch length of 22- or 24-gauge florist's wire around the top of the base to create a hanger; loop a 3-inch length of wire through the 9-inch length; twist ends together. With a glue gun, attach the pinecones (we used about 120), starting with the inside. Repeat on the outside of the base, then the front.

Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
