One-Stall Studio
Photo: Robin Stancliff; Designer: Sandy Hogan
By taking over one stall in her three-car garage, this homeowner made the dream of a studio with plentiful storage a reality. She framed in the bay and faux-finished the concrete floor in a mottled dark green, then added ample cabinets and drawers and a countertop work station. Sealing up the garage door wall, she added two large windows to bring in natural light.

Integrated Cabinets
These homeowners designed this kitchen using the concept of integrated space. Visually the kitchen, rimmed with a boomerang-curved bar, is a seamless extension of the living and dining rooms. Can't spot the refrigerator? That's the idea. Panels of maple with insets of bird's-eye maple disguise the appliance. - Dream Time
