Find Space for a Home Office
All you need is a mere five feet to create a workspace. Look in your garage to see if there's an underutilized area, such as a storage room, or if your cars could live with a little less space. It worked for this family. Their 5-x 8-foot storage alcove was converted into usable interior space by walling in the open portion and cutting a doorway to allow entry into a new laundry room. The former laundry room became a small office. The office may be small, but it is very functional.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
