Cool Off Your Tabletop
A back-painted glass top is a quick, simple, high-impact way to add a splash of color to any room. Have a piece of glass cut
to size; then use a large foam brush to paint the underside in a sky blue latex. Here, a 1/4-inch plate glass with a flat
polished edge was used. Remember, the color will look greener through the glass. If you don't like the color, hose off the
paint and try a different one. Ask your glass shop for plastic spacers (usually free) to keep the glass from lying directly
on the tabletop. » see room

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
