An Entertaining Study

In this family hangout, a built-in desk tucked neatly into a recess also functions as an entertainment center. A barn-like sliding door with frosted glass conceals the working area. To create a visual change of pace from the durable laminate floors, designer Traci Kearns inset leather tiles in the center of the room. When fully installed, these adhesive squares resemble an area rug, except they're permanent.
