Dress Up Your Hearth

Pair a garland and a 30-inch wreath with red nandina berries for a traditional red and green combination. Leave a few inches of stem on the berries and tuck them into the greenery, distributing them evenly for a dramatic look. Create the pendant at the center of the garland by grouping several berry stems together and attaching them with floral wire.

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
