This cozy breakfast nook contains a mix of materials and has all the features of a covered porch. The ample windows and French
doors make it feel as if you're eating outside. Designer Richard Black called for shiplap siding to be installed around the
cased opening of the nook. This touch suggests that the passage was cut out of an existing exterior wall. Next, unlike the
other rooms, the surrounding walls and ceiling of the breakfast area are finished with beaded-board paneling.
