The California pepper tree's bright red berries are perfect for a wreath over a mantel. Make with a 21-inch floral foam ring as the base; knot one end of a roll of medium-gauge fishing line onto the ring. Gather small bouquets of pepper berries (you'll need 10 bunches), secure with florist's wire and pin down, starting at the top front of the ring.
