Got Milk Paint?
The softly weathered, two-toned drawers of this tall bureau have a well-used charm found in many antiques. Yet the bureau
is an inexpensive pine model purchased at an unfinished-furniture store. The character comes from layers of milk paint that
have been sanded and then sealed with a final layer of beeswax (an alternative to beeswax is any paste floor wax). This paint-and-finishing
technique has been used for many centuries. » see room

Outdoor Paradise
Who says the back porch has to be attached to the house? One Memphis family enjoys theirs, which is nestled in the heart of the back yard. Although the structure was part of the property when the family bought the home several years ago, its size and scale seem ideal for today. The screened porch section measures 8 x 12 feet; exposed beams on the inside give it an open feel. To the left, an enclosed room that's used for storing outdoor equipment takes up another eight feet. - Integrated Cabinets
