From Garage to Cabana

Designer Tia Zoldan and her husband turned a neglected utilitarian space behind their Los Angeles bungalow into a cabana-like outdoor living room that opens to a pool. With the beautiful new pool, an outdoor kitchen, and a dining terrace in place, no one misses the old garage.

An outdoor rug, anchored by an all-weather sofa, chairs, and chaise lounges and accented with hurricane lamps, creates atmosphere. Festive touches, such as the fringed umbrellas and oversized pillows made from beach towels, complete the look.
