The Easiest Makeover
A new paint job is one of the simplest, most inexpensive ways to makeover your home. And spring's open-window weather is a great time to dive in. The fresh air keeps you breathing easy, and the warming temperatures will help the paint dry.

Roller Secrets
-
Invest in a lamb's-wool roller for a few dollars more. You'll have less stipple (the pattern created by a roller). Remove lint from a roller by rolling it over masking tape before applying paint.
To apply more paint at once, don't use a paint tray. Dunk your roller into the paint can itself for more saturation, and use a roller grid to take off the excess. Pour about 2 gallons of paint into a 5-gallon can, and hang the roller grid inside the can. - Next: Save on Paint
