Horizontal bamboo planking is a clean, modern take on the traditional four-poster bed. The bright blues and greens on the walls and in the window treatments are amped up versions of the coverlet’s color palette. A large white bolster pillow on the bed makes the room more casual.

Charcoal-colored beaded board runs horizontally as bunk bed siding. Sides added nautical reading lamps and little hinged doors made of plywood panels wrapped in raffia and embellished with nail heads.
