How to iron a shirt

First Things First

Start with a slightly damp shirt -- not straight from the washing machine, but not completely dry either. If it’s already dry, have a spray bottle of water handy. Spray the fabric lightly, and allow the fabric to rest a minute or so to absorb the water.

Set your iron on a hot setting. Be sure to check the shirt fabric and choose the appropriate setting.

Start with the collar, face down, on the ironing board. Iron the back of it, from the outer points inward, and then iron the front.
