Thanksgiving Mantel

Framed papers in fall colors create a fresh, modern tableau over the mantel. Colorful dried corncobs, with the shucks extending out of the vase like flowers, add texture and richness. Miniature gourds and pumpkins, arranged loosely on the mantel, bring a note of autumn’s abundance to the scheme.

Papers: Snow & Graham mosaic paper, Kate’s Paperie

A Christmas mantle

Christmas Mantel

Coordinate the papers in the frames with those you use to wrap gifts. For a pulled-together look, plant small lemon cypress trees in bags in the glass cylinders, and pour wasabi peas in between the bags and glass to add another texture. Trim the miniature trees with delicate beaded garland. And to finish off the look, add assorted glass balls for shine and sparkle.
