ENERGY STAR Qualified

It turns out the kitchen appliances you lust for are probably ENERGY STAR qualified. Most manufacturers are putting their best designs into this popular category. To qualify for the ENERGY STAR label, refrigerators, for instance, must be at least 15% more efficient than required by federal criteria. Some appliances are up to 90% more efficient than required. Visit ENERGYSTAR.gov for a complete list of ENERGY STAR qualified products and their efficiency.

Note: At this point, ENERGY STAR only applies to refrigerators, dishwashers, and washing machines (among home appliances). Other home products covered include lighting, heating and cooling, and home electronics.
