Abbi began her career at Southern Progress Corporation as an intern with SouthernLiving.com, and then moved on to become an online producer for CookingLight.com. She has been with MyHomeIdeas since it launched in June 2007.
Abbi graduated from The University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in magazines and a certificate in new media technology.
Dawn Williams manages the Gardening and How-To channels on the site. She’s always on the lookout for budget-friendly ideas and records the chaotically wonderful life of being a newlywed and homeowner in her blog, So … I Married the Contractor.

Dawn graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in corporate journalism. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with her husband and two dogs.
Garrett Lane serves as the Content Director for MyHomeIdeas. Garrett’s work in online media development stretches back to 1995 and includes previous positions with Southern Accents magazine and the E.W. Scripps Company’s new media studio. He has additional experience as a reporter, editor, illustrator, graphic designer, and journalism instructor.
He grew up in South Alabama and North Carolina and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from The University of Alabama. He lives in Shelby County, Alabama, with his wife and family.
A native of Tennessee, Jennifer Bonds has a bachelor of arts in journalism from Auburn University. Always the girl reading home magazines instead of Cosmopolitan, she fulfilled a lifelong dream by beginning an internship at Southern Accents magazine just after graduation. It was there that her interest in online media began.
She and her new husband have just taken on the renovation of a 1950s ranch-style house in Birmingham, Alabama, and chronicle their progress on their blog, The Newlywed Diaries.
Kim joined MyHomeIdeas.com in 2007 after taking a two-year hiatus from the “real world” while in graduate school. As Associate Editor, Kim is responsible for writing and contributing home decorating stories and managing the site’s Green Living and Idea House channels. She also writes a blog, which chronicles her adventures, or misadventures, in the land of domesticity: Domestic Bliss & the Art of Faking It.
Kim recently got engaged and is planning a wedding in Charleston, South Carolina for spring of 2009.
Prior to this role, Kim worked in Atlanta, Georgia, for several years in advertising as both a copywriter and online project manager. She has bachelor of science in creative writing from Florida State University and a master of English from The Citadel and College of Charleston.
Formerly Senior Editor at Southern Accents, Lydia made the leap to digital when MyHomeIdeas.com launched in 2007. In her current role, she does everything from conceptualizing stories and assigning photography to changing copier paper and making coffee. She also gets to recommend the next lucky designer of MyHomeIdeas’s Idea House.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, she went to Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and spent a few years working in the Vogue features department before gratefully returning to the South.
She lives with her husband and their blended family of seven children in the world’s most chaotic house. A chronicle of her life can be found on her blog, Home Work.

After graduating from Sewanee: The University of the South with a bachelor’s degree in American studies, Zoe worked at an art gallery in Washington, DC. Before landing at MyHomeIdeas, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama, to work for Progressive Farmer, and then SouthernLiving.com. When not working, Zoë is constantly thinking of things to Google.
Riley Tant is a graduate of Auburn University with a degree in journalism with a concentration in art and graphic design. While at Auburn, she enjoyed getting involved in several student organizations on campus such as The Cater Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, SGA, social sorority, Liberal Arts Student Eminent Society, and Society of Professional Journalists. She served as editor-in-chief of the campus creative-interest magazine, The Circle, and wrote for the student newspaper, The Plainsman.
