Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, Jennifer is a self-professed and "slightly design-obsessed Southerner navigating the waters of wife-dom and picking things out for the husband to install." Together, Jennifer and her husband Wes are "building a marriage, renovating a house, and raising a family ... of animals."
Follow the Newlyweds from the beginning, and to follow them also means to visit their failures as well as triumphs. A first burned meal is definitely a milestone, but a hilarious one at that.
For example, Day 26 has burned olive oil and a house full of smoke. Woops! But, we've all been there before.
A great day can turn sour in the blink of an eye, but the Newlyweds took it all in stride when they bought their first house and found some unexpected 'adventures' in store for them on Day 239.
A practical post is just an important as a pretty one. Read the Newlywed's helpful hints for painting a room on Day 339.
Day 354 brought us some answers to a few much needed questions.
Example: What would you do if you were a billionaire?
Jennifer: "[I'd] finish fixing up our house and sell it for cheap, cheap to a fun newlywed couple!"
One way that Jennifer fuels her home design obsession is visiting antique auctions and estate sales with her mom and sisters. When home shopping is a hobby (albeit a dangerous one), you can expect nothing less than an impeccable home to accompany this blogger.
Day 444 brought home some interesting finds.
Easy, instant makeovers can be just as fun as the rigorous before-and-after renovations. We love this 10 minute tabletop makeover on Day 576.
Jennifer has an eye for beautiful photography and beautiful rooms, and her collections of both provide us with endless hours of inspiration. Check out Day 692's photos of the Newlywed's trip to Carmel.
We're suckers for pretty bedrooms here at MyHomeIdeas, so we couldn't forget to mention the Newlywed's charming guest bedroom. See the reveal on Day 773.
