MHI: My favorite room in my house is… KS: Our Family Room. We have completely made it our own, from the fireplace transformation to the Board & Batten treatment on all of the walls. It's fresh and relaxing all at the same time. It sits right off our kitchen and it is the space that we live in the most. It suits our family and my style preferences perfectly. Family Matters

MHI: My favorite room in my house is…

KS: Our family oom. We have completely made it our own, from the fireplace transformation to the Board & Batten treatment on all of the walls. It's fresh and relaxing all at the same time. It sits right off our kitchen and it is the space that we live in the most. It suits our family and my style preferences perfectly. But our master bedroom comes in at a close second!

MHI: The one thing in my house I cannot live without is… KS: I have to admit, my immediate thought was my husband! He's my carpenter and partner in making all of the really big changes that happen in our home. He's a keeper, for sure! But if we're talking about an object that I cannot live without, then I'd have to say my fan deck and paint chips. I consult them probably more than I should, but they are the first thing I go to when I get that urge to transform a space. Karla’s husband, Will, is responsible for so many of their home’s DIY projects. See how he totally transformed their family room’s fireplace façade here.
