A bathroom vanity made from an old desk.

Dressing Room

The furniture-style vanity, topped with a countertop of old pine, is reinforced by the framed mirror hanging over it, the pair of table lamps used in place of sconces, and the stenciled floor, all contributing texture and character to the room. I like a bathroom with lots of wood, which if sealed correctly, can withstand the occasional wet footprints and basin splashes. They're warmer than a tiled room and can feel more like a dressing room.

Hidden Storage

The homeowners used their walls to conceal all sorts of great storage ideas. The top "drawer" front hides a shelf for stacking items.

A window seat offers comfort and storage.

Pretty Hideaway

The tiny window seat conceals storage under the cushion while also providing a luxurious hideaway, with a pretty gathered shade and assorted cushions.
