Use a big fixture in a small space. "With tall ceilings, you need a large ceiling fixture -- it makes this den feel cozy," says interior designer Anne Coyle. She painted the standard dark iron finish on the lantern with regular wall paint. Now its soft shade of green matches the pillows on the sofa.
